![]() ![]() ![]() That is usually the best way I have of finding my next read. Not for me, and I am most definitely not the standard by which all books should be judged, but I am scratching my head at how popular and talked about this one is. Then right away, without speaking more than 3 words to each other, she's wet between her legs-for her childhood friend who was like a brother to her when she was little but doesn't really know anymore because she's lost track of him. We get to hear her babble on in her head about how tongue tied she is and Carter has to repeat everything he says, at least 3 times. Emma doesn't say anything to him the first half of the book. She mixes sentence structure to the point that I can't quite understand-I had to read the same sentences more than once. I just couldn't get into the flow of the author's voice. I don't know how many times I had to convince myself to keep reading. Everyone on Goodreads lists Carter as their most favorite book boyfriend so I finally decided to give it a try. ![]()
